Strawberries Topping Sauce - Recipe
An easy and quick recipe for a smooth homemade Strawberries Topping Sauce. Try it on your puddings, ice creams or even with boiled meat and cheeses.

Cooking Directions:
Wash, dry and cut in small pieces the strawberries.
Transfer the strawberries in a sauce pan, add the sugar and the lemon juice.
Cook at low heat for about 5-7 minutes stirring continuously, until the strawberries are cooked and partially melted.
Remove from heat and let chill.
In a food processor, blend the strawberries sauce to the desired consistency.
Use the strawberries topping sauce to top your cakes, pies, ice cream or Panna Cotta ↪
Tips:
With the same method you can prepare many different homemade fruit toppings such as pear topping sauce, banana topping sauce, tangerine topping sauce or pineapple topping sauce.
Variations for Strawberries Topping Sauce recipe:
Red Wine Strawberries Topping Sauce: substitute the lemon juice with 1/3 cup of sweet red wine and proceed as described above. Great as original sauce to accompany pork or chicken meats. Terrific topping for a cream flavored gelato.
Rhum Strawberries Topping Sauce: substitute the lemon juice with 2 tablespoons of gold rum and proceed as described above. Perfect to top a Panna Cotta ↪ or an Italian Sponge based Cake (see Italian Sponge Cake (Pan di Spagna) ↪).
Modena Balsamic Vinegar Strawberries Topping Sauce: substitute the lemon juice with 3 tablespoons of Modena Balsamic Vinegar and proceed as described above. Perfect sauce for boiled meat and European cheese such as Brie, Emmental or Leerdammer.
