  • Penne Pasta

    1 lb
  • Onions (finely chopped)

  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil

    2 tbsps
  • Mozzarella Cheese (fresh, in water)

  • Tomato Sauce

    1 12 oz can
  • Oregano

    to taste
  • Salt

    to taste

Cooking Directions:

While boiling the water for your pasta, cut finely the onion and saute with olive oil until caramelized

Ass the tomato sauce, simmer and cook, covered, on medium heat for about 10 minutes

In the meantime cut the mozzarella cheese in small cubes of about 1/3 inches and save for later

When your pasta is ready (al dente), add the oregano to the tomato sauce

Add the mozzarella cheese on each plate just before serving and mix, to slighlty melt the mozzarella


The use of fresh mozzarella cheese will give you the best results. However, you can use the shredded mozzarella cheese instead
